meet our staff

  • GREG PIERCE

    pastor

We welcome our new Pastor Greg Pierce, his wife Shannon, and their two daughters to the Blue Mountain Baptist Church family.

Greg and Shannon Pierce were born and raised in Oklahoma. They met in college and both had a heart to be used by God to the fullest. They spent some time in Oklahoma doing college ministry and then 8 years overseas as missionaries in India and Malaysia. Greg was also the Family Pastor at a church in Iowa before moving here to Baker City.

The Lord has blessed them with two daughters named Lani and Maggie. Greg believes that the word of God is true and reliable, completely accurate. He believes the world needs Jesus and that we are responsible for the Great Commission. Some of his hobbies include spending time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, reading, and just hanging with his family.

  • shalyn woodward

    administrative assistant

Shalyn grew up near the beach but has spent the last twenty years living among the mountains and trees. She went on her first mission trip at the age of fourteen and after college served as a missionary in Japan for three years. When she’s not busy baking for her husband and two teenagers, she enjoys leading women’s bible studies, visiting Disney parks, and drinking caramel macchiatos.

  • O'Keeya Brown

    Worship Leader

O'Keeya began her ministry journey at the age of 6 singing Amazing Grace during a church service at a homeless shelter in which her family lived.  As an adult, she has been in the worship ministry for over 10 years, serving at Blue Mountain since October of 2013.  She and her husband, Kris, grew up in Haines, Oregon, and were married in 2003.  They now have two beautiful children, Korban (who enjoys dancing) and Alahra (who enjoys fashion and gymnastics).  O'Keeya is known to randomly burst out into song, loves to throw outrageous birthday parties, is almost always seen in heels unless she's hunting, and is most importantly a beloved child of God ever seeking to grow His Kingdom, give Him glory, and share His love.
