Life in jesus
When we trust in Jesus we agree to follow Him as His disciples. We now live for His Kingdom according to His commands. We will be known for our love for one another and for Him. In the Bible His disciples so closely resembled His life and teaching, they were called Christians by their community.
the church
We believe that there is one family of God, comprised of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The church isn't a place, it's a group of people.
holy spirit
He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
salvation
We believe that from the very beginning, God had a plan to redeem man. God in His grace sent His son Jesus to take our punishment for our sins. Jesus, fully God and fully man, having lived a perfect life willingly died in our place so that we might be saved from the punishment we were due. The Father raised Him from the dead, defeating death and hell. If we turn from our sins and trust in Jesus as Lord we will be saved; set free from the power of sin, with the promise of eternal life with God. We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
eternal life
Man was created to exist forever. At some point in the future, God will bring this world to an end. All people from all time will come before Him to be judged. Those who have trusted in Jesus as Lord will live forever with Him in a new earth and heavens. Everyone else will be condemned to eternal punishment.
man
We believe that God created mankind in His image, that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
god
The Bible teaches there is one true God existing in three persons: The Father, The Holy Spirit, The Son, Jesus, all fully God. God is eternal, perfect, holy, loving, and just.
jesus' return
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
the world
God created everything in six twenty-four hour days, resting on the seventh. It was perfect until man rebelled and sinned against God. God judged and cursed both man and the world in response. Both sin, destruction, and death remain today along with God's judgment and hope.
the bible
We believe the Bible is the only inspired inerrant word of God, completely sufficient for all life and godliness.
