BLUE MOUNTAIN KIDS CHILDREN'S MINISTRY IN BAKER CITY

We are very excited about every aspect of children's ministry here at Blue Mountain Baptist. We are constantly striving to make our facility as fun and welcoming as we can in order to create an engaging and safe environment for our children to learn. Above all, we are committed to Christ and demonstrating His heart and love for all children. We firmly believe that we are called to reach the world with the gospel. If we can reach one child with the transforming power of God's love, we have the power to change many lives for countless future generations. It is our goal to guide children to knowledge of God and a deeper relationship with Him and others.

Our kids experience much more than safe, dependable child care. They are welcomed to a warm environment designed just for them! We want to help your child begin to understand God's word and how the scripture testifies to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We use a Christ centered bible study for kids called The Gospel Project for Kids.  It is a three-year, chronological timeline bible study.

At Blue Mountain Baptist Church, we believe the Bible should never be boring! Kid's Church is where kids experience a fun-filled environment. We use music, games, and crafts to make learning about God, using His word, and learning about His purpose for their lives exciting.  Kids will have a chance to interact with one another and their leader in small groups. The classrooms are divided into four age groups.

  • Nursery to PreK (0-4)
  • Kindergarten to 1st Grade (5-6)
  • 2nd-3rd Grade (6-9)
  • 4th - 6th Grade

We want to encourage kids to learn God's word and hide it in their hearts.  Each Sunday, the kids can share the Bible verse they have been working on during the month in front of the congregation.  We love to hear it!

We want to partner with parents.  Big Picture cards are sent home with the kids with information about the scripture that was taught, the key passage, big picture question, and Christ connection.  Activity pages are also sent home in hopes to engage kids in learning, to reinforce the main point, and to help parents follow up at home.  When the activity pages are returned, a bible is brought, or kids bring a new friend to church, a small prize will be rewarded.  It's our way of saying "Thank you for putting God first!".

Blue Mountain Baptist Kid's Church happens on Sundays at 11am.
