meet our staff

  • SCott knox

    pastor

Scott holds a number of positions in the community.  He is pastor of Blue Mountain, Chaplain for Baker County, and co-owner of Patches The Wonder Dog.  He spent nearly a decade in the business world and a number of years at seminary before he and Judy moved to Baker City to start Blue Mountain.

  • DON EVERSON

    youth director

Don, his wife, and friends volunteered to start the youth group in 2015.  In 2017 he was brought on staff.  He loves bringing the gospel to teens, going into the mountains, and his main hobby is coffee.

  • SuZanna  Kamerdula

    director of Children's Ministry

SuZanna has always loved being around kids and babies, whether it is babysitting or spending time with her 3 precious ones at home.  She loves being the children's director because she's able to have a great time hanging out with kids and babies all the while helping them grow closer to God, combining two of her passions.

  • Laura Wilcoxson

    assistant director of children's ministry

Laura and her husband retired from California 6 years ago and moved to the state they loved.  After spending 4 years on the Oregon Coast they longed for a community and found Baker and fell in love with the town.  She has been a member of Blue Mountain since 2015 and shortly afterwards became involved in children's ministry.  She now assists the children's ministry director and co-teaches pre-teens in a class called Living Proof.  She says the kids keep her young, along with her Zumba classes at the Y.

  • Trista Berry

    administrative assistant

Trista, her husband Adam, and their two boys moved back to Eastern Oregon in 2015 after 14 years in the big city.  She has been singing in the church since the age of five, and loves serving God and the church behind the scenes.  Trista also enjoys baking and wandering through the woods, picking mushrooms and huckleberries.

  • O'Keeya Brown

    Worship Leader

O'Keeya began her ministry journey at the age of 6 singing Amazing Grace during a church service at a homeless shelter in which her family lived.  As an adult, she has been in the worship ministry for over 10 years, serving at Blue Mountain since October of 2013.  She and her husband, Kris, grew up in Haines, Oregon, and were married in 2003.  They now have two beautiful children, Korban (who enjoys dancing) and Alahra (who enjoys fashion and gymnastics).  O'Keeya is known to randomly burst out into song, loves to throw outrageous birthday parties, is almost always seen in heels unless she's hunting, and is most importantly a beloved child of God ever seeking to grow His Kingdom, give Him glory, and share His love.
